On the Trail (1889) by Winslow Homer
A Song Sparrow Singing in the Fall
by Wendell Berry (rest in peace)
Somehow it has all
added up to song —
earth, air, rain and light,
the labor and the heat,
the mortality of the young.
I will go free of other
singing, I will go
into the silence
of my songs, to hear
this song clearly.
More Fall Circling
Wendell Berry died earlier this month. His voice continues to ring on in the hills of poetry. In this piece above, he describes a moment in Circling we’ve all come to know.
When our lonely sense of the ego-self drops away, and we wander into the magnificence of connection.
Thank you for your words, Wendell.
As for Circling this Fall, it has proven quite the adventure already.
In the last Saturday Circle, we explored Strongstyle Circling, a method of intense present moment awareness and yang-energy training. (Chances are we’ll be doing this more often.)
Then, we opened it up to an organic Circle. In it, we discovered the wisdom of the dog, with lots of exploratory sniffing and playful barking. That opened up processes touching into our capacity, sense of safety, and access to self in a collective field.
And that’s not even the half of it.
So, why not come along and join in?
Here are details for the three Circles this week (and every week this Fall):

One last pit of promo.
The evening’s quickening dark. The chill on the breeze. The first leaves turning into reds and yellows.
It can only mean one thing: the FALL CIRCLING RETREAT is headed our way.

Our Latest Episode
We recently sat down with the Charles Eisenstein to talk about nothing less than changing the world. His perspective centers choice. It’s an inspiring listen.
